About Us

Roxanne Torabian-Bashardoust

I enjoy working with Human Resources Managers and Directors, Owners, CFOs, Controllers, and General Counsel--the people that make a company run efficiently.  I always keep in mind a company's corporate culture and business needs while counseling clients, ranging from homegrown companies and start-ups to large international companies, on potential employment law risks and exposure.  I add value by discussing how best to mitigate those risks.

However, in the event that litigation cannot be avoided, I am a strong advocate for my client.  I realize that litigation can be stressful and challenging and make it my priority to bring a sense of calm to the client while channeling assertive tactics toward the other side.

I have spent my entire career (over a decade) focusing on employment advising and day-to-day counseling, drafting and review of employment documents (including offer letters, handbooks, commission plans, disciplinary notices, termination documents, independent contractor agreements, and releases), and employment and general litigation.

Education

  • Northwestern University, J.D., cum laude, 2002

    •  Northwestern Journal of International Law and Business, Editor-in-Chief

    •    Wigmore Key Award

  • University of California, Los Angeles, B.A., summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, 1999

I have focused on employment law my whole career. Having experienced almost every employment situation that may exist has prepared me to help clients with emergencies, to give clients in-depth advice on complicated matters, and to give clients options for every situation.
